Middle Deck - the Enid District from Guthrie to Enid The Enid district mainline leaves Guthrie and enters a helix curve which is located under Flynn yard on the top deck. The mainline appears on the middle deck at the storage tracks at Crescent. Crescent is an actual town, and the siding is used to store grain cars. The mainline continues through the little village of Lovell, with a few houses, Bubba’s Gas station, and a small elevator. The line continues around the deck to Marshall Oklahoma, which has a large grain elevator and an LPG dealer. This town also has the longest passing track between Enid and Guthrie which was true on the prototype. The line continues to Douglas, another town with a large grain elevator and a fertilizer dealer, then reaches Fairmont, where it crosses the BN Avard sub from Tulsa. The two railroads parallel each other, passing through the Farmland ammonia fertilizer plant maintaining separate mainlines until arriving at Steen, which is the location of the refinery. Both lines continue around the grain elevators and arrive in Enid at Tenth Street yard. Both railroads had yards at this point, but I have combined them. At this point, through a little trickery and a reverse loop the BN and ATSF continue through Blanton and go out of sight headed for the lower deck. |
